Definition Of Aqidah Speaking of faith, the first and foremost is the concept of divinity, only then the other concepts of faith by the will of God himself through His words in the Qur'an and the hadiths of His prophet.  When a person believes in Islam, then the initial foundation to build his faith/belief is the belief in God Almighty as God who must be worshiped, the One, Creator and Ruler of the universe, and the Unseen who is the source of all things, including the obligation to carry out His rules. in all aspects of life either related to worship or muamalah that is closely related to interaction with fellow beings. Therefore, the first mission carried by each Apostle to be conveyed to mankind is this concept of divinity. As Allah SWT says in the Qur'an Surat An Nahl (16) verse 36, namely: وَلَقَدْ بَعَثْنَا فِي كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ رَسُولًا أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَاجْتَنِبُوا الطَّاغُوتَ ۖ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ هَدَى اللَّهُ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ حَقَّتْ عَلَيْهِ الضَّلَالَةُ ۚ فَسِيرُوا ف

  1. bring light in life Broadly speaking, Ibn al -Qayyim rahimahullah explains as follows.  Knowledge is hayatun (life) and nurun (light).  Meanwhile, ignorance is mawtun (death) and zhulmatun (darkness).  Evil is because of the absence of life and light, while goodness is because of the absence of light and life.  Allah Ta’ala says, “Allah is the Protector of the believers;  He brought them out of darkness (disbelief) into light (faith).  And those who disbelieve, their protectors are the devils, who bring them out of light into darkness (disbelief).  Those are the dwellers of the Fire;  they abide in it. ”  (QS. Al-Baqarah: 257) “Allah (Giver) of light (to) the heavens and the earth.  The parable of the light of God, is like an impenetrable hole, in which there is a great lamp.  The lamp is in the glass (and) the glass is like a star (which shines) like pearls, lit with oil from the blessed tree, (that is) the olive tree which grows neither in the east (something) nor in the west.
