Definition Of Aqidah
Speaking of faith, the first and foremost is the concept of divinity, only then the other concepts of faith by the will of God himself through His words in the Qur'an and the hadiths of His prophet.
When a person believes in Islam, then the initial foundation to build his faith/belief is the belief in God Almighty as God who must be worshiped, the One, Creator and Ruler of the universe, and the Unseen who is the source of all things, including the obligation to carry out His rules. in all aspects of life either related to worship or muamalah that is closely related to interaction with fellow beings.
Therefore, the first mission carried by each Apostle to be conveyed to mankind is this concept of divinity. As Allah SWT says in the Qur'an Surat An Nahl (16) verse 36, namely:
"And verily We have sent a Messenger to every nation (to call):" Worship Allah (alone), and stay away from it ", so among them are those who are guided by God and there are also those who. -people who have definitely gone astray for him. So travel through the earth and see what was the end of those who denied (the Messengers) ". (Q.S. An-Nahl: 36)
That is, the concept of divinity that must be believed by someone who professes to be a believer in Islam, monotheisms Him without the slightest doubt in it.
1. Qur'an is the main of Aqidah
The Qur'an is the first legal basis of Islamic beliefs.
The Qur'an is the word of Allah SWT revealed to the Prophet Muhammad saw through the Angel Gabriel which contains guidelines for life for human beings to be safe in this world and the hereafter.
It is through the Qur'an that Allah SWT pours out His words regarding the concept of true faith that must be believed and lived absolutely and cannot be offered by all Muslims. In the Qur'an, many verses contain monotheism, among them are Qs. al-Ikhlas verses 1-4.
People who follow the guidance of the Qur'an mean that they have true faith. On the other hand, people who do not follow the instructions of the Qur'an do not have true faith. As Allah SWT says, which means: "Worship Allah and do not associate anything with Him." (Q.S. An-Nisa ’: 36)
2. Hadith is the second Aqidah
Hadith is all the deeds, words, and destiny (silent) of the Prophet Muhammad.
Hadith is the second legal basis for Islamic aqidah after the Qur'an, both as a source of law in faith and in all matters of life. This is because everything that is relied on by the Prophet Muhammad is a revelation from Allah, not just following one's lust. As the word of Allah SWT, which means:
"And what he says is not according to his desires, his words are nothing but revelations that are revealed (to him). (Surah an-Najm: 3-4)
Allah SWT gives instructions to humans to follow the truth conveyed by the Messenger of Allah, as the word of Allah SWT, which means: "What the Apostle gives you, then accept it. Leave what he forbids."…. (Q.S. Al-Hashr: 7)
For what we learn About Aqidah

As explained in the Qur'an Surah Al 'Araf (7) verse 172
"And (remember) when your Lord brought forth from the sulbi (spine) the offspring of Adam and their descendants and Allah bore witness to their spirits (saying), "Am I not your Lord?" They replied, "Yes (You are our Lord), we testify." (We do that) so that on the Day of Resurrection you will not say, "Indeed, at that time we were unaware of this."
2. Avoiding the influence of a misguided life
as stated by Allah SWT in the Qur'an Surah Ali-Imran verse 31
Say (Muhammad), "If you love Allah, then follow me, Allah will love you and forgive your sins." Allah is Forgiving, Most Merciful.
3. Knowing the right instructions as a guide to be able to distinguish between what is good and what is bad, according to the word of Allah SWT in the Qur'an Surah Al-Baqarah verse 185.
.......as a guide for mankind and explanations of that guidance and a distinction (between the truth and the falsehood).......
