Hadith About Two Things That Abort Our Goodness
Based on title, there is two things that Abort our Goodness to Allah. What it is? the answer is Sin and Obidience
Two things that are most burdensome scales abort goodness and badness. Doing a sin, such as adultery, or violate the prohibition of God Almighty when alone, is enough to abort the merits despite even it as much mountain. In a hadith mentioned:
عن ثوبان, عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم, أنه قال: لأعلمن أقواما من أمتي يأتون يوم القيامة بحسنات أمثال جبال تهامة, بيضا, فيجعلها الله عز وجل هباء منثورا, قال ثوبان: يا رسول الله, صفهم لنا, جلهم لنا أن لا نكون منهم ونحن لا نعلم, قال: أما إنهم إخوانكم ومن جلدتكم, ويأخذون من الليل كما تأخذون, ولكنهم أقوام إذا خلوا بمحارم الله انتهكوها
From Tsauban, of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, that he said, "I really know contingents of people of my nation, they will come on the Day of Judgment with the goodness of the mountain Tihamah white, but Allah Azza Exalted will make it as dust scattered ". Tsauban radi 'anhu said, "O Messenger of Allah! Explain their properties to us! Explain their situation to us, so we were not included among them when we do not know!" He sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Verily, they are your brothers, and from your skin, they fill most of the night as you fill up, but they are contingents who, if aloof, they violate those cases that are forbidden by God". (HR. Ibn Majah, no. 4245; classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albani; Shaykh Salim al-Hilali and others).
