Why we must eat with right hand? this question could be tell when we look someone do it. It is some ethic or command from religion.
Thruthly, it's include on ethic and religion :D
From Ethics we know that left hand usually use for "ehmmm....wash........something" on toilet, imagine when so much bactery when touch food with it.
Sure, we want to keep it clean.
That's one of some ethics
And From religion, there are many hadiths that show a ban on eating with the left hand,
First, There is a command of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam
Umar ibn Abi Salamah radi 'anhuma, when he was a kid ever eat with both hands - right and left. Then warned by the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam,
يا غلام سم الله, وكل بيمينك وكل مما يليك
"O my son, celebrate the name of Allah and eat with your right hand, and eat in front of you." (HR. Bukhari 5376 and Muslim 2022)
Second, mimicking the way of eating demon
Resembling his legal vicious prohibited. Because Satan the enemy, not a friend. So do not be followed. And imitate the habit of demons including follow Satan.
From Ibn Umar radi 'anhuma, the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam said,
إذا أكل أحدكم فليأكل بيمينه وإذا شرب فليشرب بيمينه فإن الشيطان يأكل بشماله ويشرب بشماله
When you eat, it should eat with his right hand. If you drink it should also have a drink with his right hand, because Satan eating and drinking with his left hand with his left hand. "(HR. 2020 Muslim, Abu Daud and others 3778).
As-San'ani explain Hadith of Umar bin Abi Salamah,
وفي الحديث دليل على وجوب الأكل باليمين للأمر به أيضا ويزيده تأكيدا أنه صلى الله عليه وسلم أخبر بأن الشيطان يأكل بشماله ويشرب بشماله وفعل الشيطان يحرم على الإنسان
In the above hadith there is the argument of the necessity of eating with the right hand, because no orders to do so. This was confirmed again, in which the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said that the devil eating with his left hand and drinks with his left hand. While the works of the Devil, forbidden to be human. (Subulus Salam, 3/159)
Third, prayed disrepute by the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam
Salamah ibn al-Akwa 'story telling,
No person male dining beside the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam with his left hand. Then the Prophet said,
كل بيمينك
"Eat with your right hand!"
Instead, he replied, 'I can not.'
قال «لا استطعت». ما منعه إلا الكبر. قال فما رفعها إلى فيه
He said, 'Right you can not?' -he Turned it down because sombong-. After that his hands can not be lifted up to his mouth. "(HR. Muslim 2021)
There are two warnings delivered the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam in the hadith above,
[1] The command to eat with the right hand
[2] Prayer bad because he did not immediately carry out orders with reason can not.
As-San'ani said,
ولا يدعو صلى الله عليه وسلم إلا على من ترك الواجب وأما كون الدعاء لتكبره فهو محتمل أيضا ولا ينافي أن الدعاء عليه للأمرين معا
And the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam is not possible to pray vices except for those who leave liability. If prayer is for the reason that the arrogant, there is such possibility. And not far away, if we understand that prayer is for those reasons. (Subulus Salam, 3/159).
